Article I: Name and Object

Lodge designation is the "Stephen O. Cooke Air Transport Lodge, Local 1932" of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The organizational purpose centers on defending and advancing IAM interests while improving member working conditions and compensation.

Article II: Meetings and Quorums

Regular meetings occur on the first Tuesday monthly at 4:00 PM. Sign-in opens at 3:30 PM and closes at 4:30 PM. Holiday substitutions and election-day rescheduling are permitted with two-week advance notice.

Article III: Membership

Membership qualifications follow IAM Constitutional standards. Initiation fee: $100. Reinstatement fee: $75.

Article IV: Funds

Lodge funds remain with the organization during charter validity. Non-routine expenditures require majority membership vote. Motions exceeding $500 require two weeks' prior notice.

Article V: Salaries and Expenses

Monthly officer compensation includes:

  • President: $300
  • Vice President: $200
  • Recording Secretary: $250
  • Secretary-Treasurer: $250
  • Conductor-Sentinel: $135
  • Trustee: $135
  • Editor: $135
  • Webmaster: $145
  • E.A.P. Chairperson: $200
  • Safety Chairperson: $135

Article VI: Duties of Officers

Officers serve according to IAM Constitutional guidelines, with specific duties outlined for the President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Secretary-Treasurer, Conductor, Sentinel, Trustees, and Auditing Committee.

Article VII: Officers, Delegates, and Committees

Nominations occur at the first regular November meeting of election years. Elections occur at December's first regular meeting. Terms last three years. Polls open 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Election Day.

Additional articles cover the Executive Board structure, bonding of officers, amendment procedures, and general provisions. All matters not specified in these bylaws follow IAM Constitutional governance.
